Marguerite Young

Marguerite Young is a lifelong campaigner and seasoned strategist with deep experience in electoral politics, grassroots organizing, and staff leadership.

She’s worked in every presidential election since 1968 and ran her own successful campaign to defeat a five-term incumbent for a seat on the East Bay Municipal Utility District board. Marguerite has led field teams across the country, managed independent expenditure campaigns, and trained hundreds of canvassers and organizers for unions, environmental groups, and civic causes. Most recently, she ran the 2024 Alameda County field program for “Yes on 5!,” helping secure a 56% win by uniting labor, housing, and environmental coalitions.

Fun fact: Her first campaign was in 1964—knocking on doors for her dad’s race for Fire Commissioner when she was eight.

Marguerite is the Multiplier Project Director for California’s 22nd, 40th, and 41st Congressional Districts, as well as our target districts in Iowa, Michigan, Nebraska, New Jersey, and Virginia.
